With a conventional band transportation system, during the transportation of the printed corrugated board to the flatbed die-cutter, the following problems, disadvantages or defects can be observed.
- The colors may smear.
- Scratches may occur on the printing surface.
- The belts must be adjusted to the respective sheet format.
- No possibility of a sheet ejector for defect sheets.
- Higher space requirements are necessary.
To solve these problems Duo-Technik supplies a vacuum transportation system which is designed for all types of printing machines having the following benefits:
- The length of the transport can be designed to individual needs.
- No physical contact with the printed side of the board.
- Space to install a drying system or a quality control system.
- Defect sheets can be ejected automatically.
- Reduced setting time optimizes inline operation.
The vacuum transport is designed to transport the corrugated sheets with a single wave up to a curve of 5% and double wave with a curve up to 3% . (Calculation of the curve = the distance of the sheet to an even surface, referring to the total length with respect to the total width of the sheet).
